Community Funds

Give To A Specific Organization

Communities can benefit now and in future generations:

  • Contributors receive income tax benefits
  • Endowed funds are professionally managed for long-term benefit
  • Local trustees recommend annual grants from the fund
  • Matching fund program provides up to $2,500 to start each community endowment program

Most community fund affiliates include two types of funds:

  • A charitable giving fund (used as the community’s checkbook) to receive contributions to a new library, buy new playground equipment, sponsor a summer band concert, or for another immediate, charitable need
  • An endowment fund (used as a community’s savings account)
  • Communities may also establish scholarship funds, agency endowment funds, field of interest funds, designated funds or administrative funds
