The Community Foundation of Johnson County made its first ever grants in December of 2001. The following year, the Foundation awarded $10,980 in grants, and in 2003 that rose to $23,794. In December of 2005, the Community Foundation of Johnson County awarded over $107,000 to local nonprofit organizations and scholarship recipients.
