ICM Play2B Fit activities
The Iowa Children's Museum will host "The Power of Play," a fun learning activity for kids, Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Coralville Marriott Conference Center. Admission is free.
“Play2B Fit is a great way to have fun and learn about nutrition and being healthy,” said Jill Donnenwerth, ICM director of development. “It’s a great opportunity for children to be active, have fun without being out in cold temperatures.”
The first 500 kids in the door will receive a free gift.
Organizers say 33 booths offering activities will feature obstacle courses, mini dance parties, soccer drills, baseball, fun fitness challenges, nutrition quiz and more. Martial arts and fencing groups will offer demonstrations.
The stage will feature family Zumba, kidrobics, junior jazzercise and fit fun activities.
Jill Donnenwerth, director of development, and ICM Board member Ryan Wade developed the Play2B Fit concept. This is the first year for the program.
