Community Foundation elects board, officers for FY2014

The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Johnson County (CFJC) elected officers and appointed new board members at its regular meeting held in July.

Officers for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, are: CFJC President Tim Krumm, Meardon Suppel & Downer P.L.C.; John Schneider CFJC Vice President, assistant vice president Operational Planning & Execution at ACT; CFJC Secretary, Steve Atkins, retired city manager of Iowa City; and CFJC Treasurer Dean Price, principal of McGladrey.

Elected to serve new, three-year board terms are Bart Floyd, Great West Bank, and Sharon Oglesby, Iowa City community volunteer.
Reappointed to three-year terms were: Krumm, Chuck Coulter, Stanley, Lande & Hunter; Michael Heinrich, Mercy Iowa City; and Schneider.
Three longtime board members have retired from board service including Ross DeValois, XXXX; Bill Furlong, attorney, and Christine Scheetz, United Way of Johnson County.

"Our board leadership helps our Community Foundation grow and disperse endowment funds to benefit the growing Johnson County community," said Mike Stoffregen, executive director. "We are fortunate to have their expertise and guidance, and we are grateful for their service and commitment to the Johnson County community."
